On November 5th this year, Lemon Street Gallery will have been open 20 years. A gem of the Kenosha art community, it was opened as an artists' collective gallery. It now boasts over 80 member artists, a visual arts center with classes, specialty programs, and is also home to "The Clay Studio"... and free WiFi!
As of last fall, there is a new feather in the Lemon Street cap. The longest figure draw in Kenosha had been held at Art Works for several years, and then at the former Left of the Lake gallery, and when that closed, it needed a home. Lemon Street was a perfect fit!
Held every Tuesday from 6-8:30 pm with a $10 fee, it is open to any all artists. Since it a full figure nude poses, anyone under the age of 18, needs written parental permission. Hope to see you there... 🙂
