About the Artist:
I’m a junior in high school, and working towards a career in art. I’m passionate about drawing from life, educating people through my pieces, and learning new techniques.
Location: MIAD Summer Precollege
Notes:• Figure in Color is Joseph's rendition of a corpse from Théodore Géricault's work The Raft of the Medusa. • I worked tirelessly on this huge 18 x 24 paper, using sweeping lines to capture Joseph’s form. He stood for three hours while The Lumineers played. I suggested he name the pose Atlas, as he appears to be holding up the sky.
